I’ve had a weird issue recently when playing some games in Windowed fullscreen mode under Windows 10 Professional.
Specifically the Epic Games Store version of The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition and also Robocop: Rogue City, although I’m sure it’s not limited to those.
The issue is that after Alt-tabbing to the desktop, or showing the desktop with Win+D, my left mouse clicks aren’t recognised in some applications like Firefox, and also the Windows taskbar.
The solution is simple, but not obvious. I have found that right-clicking a few times on the desktop seems to clear it
Just thought I would share in case anyone else has experienced this.
